Baby Step

Just found a note shared in facebook, and read a story from one of my senior in college..

Harry Kawanda - The Story

The story itself, i can say very inspiring..

I will quote my favorite part:

" I’m the living proof of someone who decided to follow my passion and live my life. And the universe conspires together to make everything happen beautifully in its time. And I can say this out loud, not only because it might sound comforting but also because they have the living proof here. If one human being can do it, what holds the other same human being on doing it? Nothing! Everybody can do it. They just have to make the first baby step and the universe will conspire together to make it happen beautifully in its’ time. I wish everybody will come out of that hole and take the first baby step and be happy."

So, here i am, making my baby step..

One at a time..

Slowly, but sure..

And not afraid of falling..

It was not easy, but at some point, i believe, i will not only taking a step..

I will walk, run, and then fly.. 

Fly high towards my dream ..

I wish the "point" is as soon as possible..

But, patient is a must.. Should not be in a rush..

Because everything that came in a instant will be easily gone..

And blessings come with patience.. ^^

This is my theme song for this week..

First time i hear it was on a serial TV (Glee) just a few days ago and somehow i feel so connected to this song, and i love it..

I play it over and over and over and over again..

This song is really describe what i feel..

And yes, i need to get it right.. I just wanna fix it somehow.. 

Cause I can't go back and undo this..
I just have to stay and face my mistakes.. 
I'll send up a prayer..

And my question is, but how many times will it take ???

Blue Christmas

This is the perfect song that describe how and what i am feeling at this moment..
Each words and sentence clearly stated what i want to say..
May there will be no one else feeling this blue Christmas..

Fly Away

The sky with no limit, heavenly view
Blue canvas, so clear, and so bright..
White clouds so puffy, soft, as sweet as cotton candy..
A scenery that welcoming me to my vacation.. 

I am leaving Jakarta on this Christmas exactly at the 25th..
Visit my mom in Bali for one week full of super fun holiday..
And will be back at 31st..

And i am super duper over the top if we all talk about lucky..
That day, Christmas, i was late..
The flight is 10.10am, i should be in the airport by 9am..
But at 9am i am still at home..
With a lot of prayer..
I managed to arrived 9.30 at airport and check in on a closed counter..
And i am saved..
A Christmas miracle, a gift from God.. ^^

1 hour 45 minutes later..
Bali here i am..
And let's the fun begin..
Quality time with mom, waking up late, eating good foods, free internet access, cable TV, hachi to play with, life of pi to read.. And many more..

That was all the pleasing part..
But on this short escape..
I am not just fly away from my lovely town, Jakarta..
I am also fly away from work and all my routine daily task,
which is nice to have a break..

And the truth is i am trying to fly away from something deeper and bigger,
which is rather hard to cast away..
Because no matter how far you go, you always carry your heart with you..

You can put on a smile..
You can laugh..
You can enjoy..
But inside your heart, you can not lie..
You know when something is not right..
Even when you try not to think about it..
You still can not run away from those feeling..
I just pray, wishing everything will be better when i'm back..

Last but not least..
Merry Christmas everyone..
It is better late than never.. Agree?
 

Life of Pi

" Mr. Patel's is an astounding story, courage and endurance unparalleled in the history of ship-wrecks. Very few castaways can claim to have survived so long, and none in the company of an adult Bengal tiger. "

Life of Pi is one of those kind of movies that i will gladly recommend, and encourage other to watch it.

Beautiful, that is one word that i think will describe this movie.

The movie was based on best selling novel by Yann Martel published in 2001.
And i have my own believe that movie based on a novel will give you great story.
And it will never disappointed you if.. only if.. you never read the novel before.
And luckily i haven't read the novel. So i am happy with the movie.

   

The whole time the movie was being played, i get wonder-struck so many times.
I get visually amazed by how Ang Lee did an aesthetically wonderful job making the novel alive is such fascinating way.

It was a simple movie, in a nice soothing storytelling way, in the pace that make you can enjoy each moment, make you comfortable and feel at ease watching the movie emotionally going up and down. It also pleasantly narrated, nice script, catchy conversation, with a little bit of humor and fun here and there.
The one thing i love the most of this movie, it gave multiple chances of silent (no conversation) for you to just sit and absorb the lovely scene.

I watched in 2D, but i can imagine that the 3D version would be magnificent.
I myself don't find watching 3D as something i would choose to do.
I wear glasses, wearing glasses over another glasses the whole time the movie was playing.
It ruin my mood on the movie. I just don't find it amusement.
But, like i said before, i can tell that 3D version will make you feel you were there in those picturesque scenes. It have high potential, that the scenic could gave you an eyegasm experience. 

So, for you, go watch the movie before it is gone from the cinema.
And right now, for me, i am waiting to read the novel.
It happens that my mom have it, love you mom ^^
I have feeling that the novel may have its own magical ways to charm me more.

Can wait to read it.

POP - pursuit of passion -

What is passion?

If you asked me, then my answer will be as simple as

passion = love

But my favorite explanation is from Rene Suhardono

" passion is what you enjoy the most, something that motivate you to get up in the morning "

and the main goal of this blog existence is to fulfill my passion..

Rene write so many great motivations about passion on his book
"Your Job is Not Your Career", and i will copy some of my favorite in this post..

" passion is things that you really really love doing. Your passion is your strength. And your strength is not about what you're good at. It is about what you enjoy the most "

So for myself i enjoy doing different activity..
i'm in love, with so many things..
i love all the beauty in the world..
i love the power of dreams and imagination..
i love and inspire by art and its creativity..
i love books, movies and songs, especially the one that have deep messages..
i love words, word is just romantic, beautiful, magical..
and how they mysteriously put a spell on me and take me high to another dimension..
and i'm totally in love with the love itself.. love is just a gift..

So for many of my friend who haven't found their passion yet..
Let me copy some of Rene's wisdom:
It is within you, it is your uniqueness.
Do what you are. And live in your uniqueness.
Passion will lead you to success. And what is success? Not about becoming the best.
It is about becoming yourself.
Seek but what you really really really want to do because it is what you want to do with your life.
The heart knows long before the head does. Don't be too complicated and may your life be fulfilled.
Live by your passion. This is the essence of a great life. May you live a happy life!
